Egypt's weather authority reports cloud cover advancing toward Greater Cairo

Egypt's General Authority of Meteorology announced that a cloud cover of high and medium clouds has reached parts of Greater Cairo, partially blocking sunlight.

• The Authority said the cloud cover also persists over the Western Desert and northern Upper Egypt.
• It reported continuing rain-bearing thunderclouds over the Gulf of Aqaba and central Sinai, with some low clouds likely to develop and bring rainfall.
• The authority noted thunderstorm formations over Red Sea mountain ranges and low clouds advancing into the Matrouh desert with possible rain.
