Yemeni government and southern allied forces, a week into the "Dawn of Yemen" offensive, have cut the road between Mocha and the Bab al-Mandeb strait.
- On October 5, government troops and STC-linked units, including the Southern Giants Brigades, launched "Dawn of Yemen" near the Bab al-Mandeb strait.
- The Giants Brigades said pro-government forces had cut the main road linking Mocha with Bab al-Mandeb by Monday afternoon.
- Yemeni military sources said government forces repelled a Houthi attack in al-Dabab, west of Taiz, as fighting continued in Lahj and Marib.
- Chief of General Staff Saghir bin Aziz said the offensive will continue until state institutions are restored and government returns to Sanaa.
