Egyptian neurosurgeon Ali Salah performed a brain operation on a Saudi patient whose hand tremor stopped immediately during the surgery.
- Dr. Ali Salah, a neurosurgery consultant at Suez Canal University, operated on Saudi patient Ahmed Al-Zahrani, ending a hand tremor he had endured for about ten years.
- The tremor ceased instantly during the operation, performed under local anesthesia with the patient awake and responding to the surgeon's instructions.
- Dr. Salah said the procedure inserts a thin radiofrequency needle through a small skull opening to heat and cauterize cells responsible for the abnormal signals at 60–65°C.
- Dr. Salah said the surgery was recorded at the patient's request as ongoing charity and to raise awareness of available treatment options.
