Official Israeli documents released after a court petition show about 1.43 million shekels spent on prime ministers' hairdressing and cosmetics from 2019 to August 2026.
- Netanyahu and his wife Sara accounted for about 90 percent of the 1.43 million shekels (about $477,000) spent on hairdressing and cosmetics services for successive prime ministers.
- The data was disclosed after a court petition by the Freedom of Information movement; annual spending peaked at about 337,000 shekels in 2025, versus 84,000 in 2022 under Bennett and Lapid.
- Netanyahu's February 2025 Washington visit cost about $13,500 for a hairdresser and makeup expert, and a July 2024 visit about $11,500.
- The Freedom of Information movement said the Prime Minister's Office stalls on transparency and releases documents only under court orders.
