Sweden's centre-left opposition bloc holds a narrow lead in the general election as the far-right Sweden Democrats record their first national loss since 2010.
- With about 95 percent of districts counted, the four opposition parties were projected to hold 176 seats in the 349-seat Riksdag, against 173 for parties backing the conservative-led government.
- The Sweden Democrats' support fell from 20.5 percent to 17.5 percent, the party's first loss in a national parliamentary election since entering parliament in 2010.
- The Social Democrats held first place with 28.1 percent, one of their worst performances in more than 100 years.
- Final results may not be clear until early and overseas ballots are counted on Wednesday.
