Egypt's Ministry of Labor Reports 10.284 Billion Pounds Spent on Worker Support Since 2014

The ministry announced total expenditures from its funds and central account for irregular worker social protection reached 10.284 billion Egyptian pounds from January 2014 to June 30, 2026.
- 7.274 billion pounds were disbursed to irregular workers, including 4.994 billion in periodic grants and 1.371 billion in exceptional COVID-19 grants.
- 2.576 billion pounds were paid from the Emergency Unemployment Subsidy Fund to 441,600 workers across 3,999 facilities.
- 386.8 million pounds were contributed by the Training and Qualification Fund, and 47.2 million pounds by the Social, Health, and Cultural Services Fund.
