The US Department of Justice has charged eight men with terrorism offences for allegedly planning to kill President Trump and other officials during a mixed martial arts event at the White House in June.
- The men, aged 19 to 32, face charges of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and conspiracy to commit murder on federal territory.
- The alleged plot involved using explosive-laden drones to strike the White House and then firing on the fleeing crowd with snipers, prosecutors said.
- The scheme was uncovered after the mother of suspect Tycen J Proper alerted authorities on June 10, citing his large firearms purchases and online communications.
- Targets included President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Elon Musk, according to court filings.
