An inquest into the death of Nicholas Brandram, arrested over the 2017 'Putney pusher' incident, has been opened and suspended pending an IOPC inquiry.
- Brandram, 44, was found dead at his home in Chiswick on 15 September after his brother-in-law discovered him following a missed family meal.
- Coroner Melanie Lee suspended the inquest after the Metropolitan Police referred themselves to the IOPC over their contact with Brandram.
- Brandram, a former banker, had been arrested in June on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm over the May 2017 incident on Putney Bridge.
- His family said they believe he took his own life after "months of immense pressure" caused by the investigation.
