The Association of Culture and Free Thought in Gaza has restarted its mosaic art program for children, using stones and bricks collected from war rubble as raw materials.
- The workshop teaches children mosaic techniques based on Palestinian cultural heritage, particularly scenes from before the 1948 Nakba.
- Artist Mohammed Abu Lahiya stated that a shortage of cement forces the use of ground and recycled rubble as a substitute binding material.
- Fourteen-year-old participant Kenan Mustafa Ramadan said her family home was bombed less than a year ago and she now uses mosaic art for psychological relief.
- Fifteen-year-old Enaya Abu Hadrous said the program helps her overcome the war's pressures and preserve Palestinian heritage, though proper tools such as colors are lacking.
