- The board selected Morsi in its Tuesday meeting following a selection competition held September 15-21.
- Morsi had served as acting executive director since late August after the club accepted Saad Shalaby's resignation.
- A committee led by vice president Yassin Mansour reviewed more than 30 applicants for the post.
- A club source said the 2025-2026 budget approaches 8 billion Egyptian pounds.
