The Lebanese army has warned that continued Israeli strikes and demolition work in southern Lebanon threaten the US-brokered framework agreement and obstruct its deployment.
- The army said Israel has committed roughly 7,700 violations of the framework agreement since it was signed on June 26, 2026, and called a halt to its attacks a condition for completing deployment.
- President Joseph Aoun said security deployment in Nabatieh is linked to the state's negotiating commitments and that any security vacuum in the south would serve as a pretext for attacks.
- Israeli strikes hit several southern towns, and Lebanese authorities said at least 12 people, including children and women, were killed in Kafr Rumman, with at least 29 dead since Friday.
- The army said it established six fixed barriers and 13 observation points in southern towns and confiscated about 1,818 weapons and ammunition pieces.
