Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk has been acquitted of all charges in a federal murder-for-hire case over the 2022 killing of a rival rapper's cousin in Los Angeles.
- The jury deliberated three days before clearing Durk Banks of five felony counts, including murder for hire resulting in death, after a three-week trial.
- Prosecutors accused Banks of placing a bounty on rival Quando Rondo, whose cousin Saviay'a Robinson was killed in the August 2022 gas-station ambush.
- Co-defendants Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey were convicted of stalking and conspiracy to commit stalking but acquitted of murder-for-hire charges.
- First Assistant US Attorney Bill Essayli said prosecutors will present evidence at Banks's second trial on 5 October, where he faces racketeering murder and firearms charges.
