Egyptian Labor Minister Hassan Radad has issued a package of executive decisions on occupational safety, health, and mandatory accident reporting.
- Radad issued five decisions, numbered 248–252 of 2026, regulating prevention procedures, licensing, training, and facilities' occupational safety bodies.
- A separate decision requires facilities to report serious accidents within 24 hours if they occur on site and within 48 hours if outside the workplace.
- Facilities with 30 or more workers must submit semi-annual statistics on occupational diseases, serious accidents, and work injuries.
- Radad called on employers to comply with the new rules, saying the measures implement the 2025 labor law.
