Egypt's property tax authority has offered discounts reaching 30% for owners filing returns by the September 30 deadline under the 2026 amendments.
- Rami Youssef, property tax head, said residential units valued under 8 million EGP are exempt, with 1,260 EGP charged per additional million.
- Youssef announced a 25% residential and 10% non-residential discount for returns filed by September 30, plus 5% for advance payment.
- Deputy head Mohamed El-Sayed said the authority opened outlets in sports clubs and new city agencies as high demand hit the online app.
- Registration now runs through the "Egyptian property taxes" app instead of in-person visits to the authority, Youssef said.
