OpenAI adds virtual try-on for clothes to ChatGPT shopping tools

OpenAI has added a Virtual Try On feature to ChatGPT's shopping tools, letting users preview clothing on their own photos before buying.

• The feature lets users upload a personal photo and full-body photo, then ChatGPT generates an image simulating them wearing selected clothing.
• OpenAI said users can also upload screenshots of nearly any clothing item to create virtual try-on images, extending the feature beyond ChatGPT-suggested products.
• The feature runs on ChatGPT Images 2.5, the image-generation model OpenAI launched in September.
• OpenAI noted that photos uploaded from personal accounts may be used by default in model training unless users disable that option in account settings.
