Egypt's wheat production rises 5.5% to 10 million tons, statistics agency reports

Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics has reported wheat production rose 5.5% to 10 million tons in 2024/2025.
- CAPMAS announced the figures in a statement marking World Food Day, observed annually on Oct. 16.
- CAPMAS reported grain production rose 3.4% to 22.6 million tons, with per-capita output at 233.6 kilograms.
- The agency stated global grain production increased 0.3% to 2.87 billion tons in the same period.
