Egypt orders expropriation of properties housing two schools

Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif has moved to expropriate properties occupied by two schools in Alexandria and Assiut.

• The official gazette published his decision to expropriate the entire 687.46-square-meter property at 6 Al-Nasafi Street, El-Ramleh, Alexandria, housing El-Ramleh Preparatory Boys School.
• Ministerial decision No. 152 of 2026 expropriates the 1,341.50-square-meter property housing Thawra Primary School in Abnub, Assiut.
• Both decisions cover the full area of the properties the two schools occupy.
