Egypt announces seasonal flu vaccine availability as winter approaches

Egypt's Health Ministry announced the seasonal flu vaccine is now available across all governorates ahead of winter, urging annual vaccination.

• Deputy Health Minister Amr Qandil said annual vaccination before the winter season strengthens protection against influenza and its complications.
• Qandil identified high-risk groups including adults 65 and over, children, pregnant women, chronic disease patients, health workers, travelers, and pilgrims.
• Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the vaccine, updated annually to match expected strains, is safe and effective.
