DP World Tour will refuse membership to golfers joining LIV Golf 2.0 for the 2027 season, its CEO said, a tougher stance than recent seasons.
- CEO Guy Kinnings said the tour will not grant conditional status to golfers who sign with LIV Golf 2.0 for 2027.
- "Players need to make a choice," Kinnings said, adding that those unwilling to comply with tour rules "should not be seeking to join our tour."
- DP World Tour membership is required for golfers to play for Europe in the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland.
- LIV Golf, in bankruptcy since Sept. 8, has until Oct. 25 to sign players under a $300 million BC Partners restructuring deal.
