- The Ministry of Education announced monthly exams for grades 1 primary through 2 secondary run October 18–22 during the school day.
- The ministry said grades 1–2 primary and grade 2 secondary students under the Egyptian Baccalaureate take the exams for the first time.
- The ministry barred schools from collecting money from parents for printing exam papers, assigning that cost to education directorates.
- Officials said the first monthly exam counts 15% of the subject grade, while Baccalaureate assessment includes projects, weekly evaluations, and monthly tests.
