Bernardo Silva's Role at Real Madrid Collapses After Free-Transfer Move

Silva has seen his playing time shrink sharply at Real Madrid, including only eight minutes across his last two La Liga matches.

• Silva joined Real Madrid on a free transfer from Manchester City this summer, choosing the club over Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
• He has played 282 minutes across six league matches, starting three, with no goals and one assist.
• Mourinho has prioritized Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni in midfield, benching Silva against Elche and limiting him to eight minutes in the Madrid derby.
• Barcelona sporting director Deco said Silva was among the club's options but his financial and guaranteed-playing-time demands did not fit its plans.
