Yemeni forces strike Sanaa and Saada, advance in Taiz against Houthis

Yemeni government forces have escalated strikes on Houthi targets in Sanaa and Saada while advancing in Taiz, where they recaptured territory.

• Yemeni army spokesman Majid al-Nuzayli said forces carried out 257 precision strikes, neutralizing at least 700 Houthi fighters and destroying 170 vehicles.
• Military sources said government forces recaptured the Maqarmah and Zukayrah areas and Fort Sami in Taiz's Shumaytayn district after heavy fighting.
• Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree announced ballistic-missile and drone strikes on Saudi Aramco in Riyadh in response to the Sanaa bombardment.
• Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki denied that Riyadh was struck, calling the Houthi claim an attempt to deflect from their losses.
