- Botafogo announced Thursday that it signed the 33-year-old Ziyech after he completed medical checks in Rio de Janeiro.
- Ziyech arrived in Rio on Tuesday and was greeted by Botafogo supporters, the club said.
- The midfielder joined after mutually terminating his contract with Moroccan club Wydad Athletic.
- Ziyech plays in Brazil for the first time, following earlier spells with Ajax, Chelsea, Galatasaray and Al Duhail.
