Two moorland fires near Saddleworth and Glossop have merged, with crews expecting operations to continue for multiple days.
- Greater Manchester Police said a 20-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated arson over the fire near Dove Stone Reservoir.
- Ben Levy, area manager for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, said firefighters will be on the moors for "a number of days" with no significant rainfall forecast.
- Clive Stanbrook from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze is spreading due to tinder-dry conditions and changing winds, with helicopters dropping water.
