The United States has sanctioned individuals and entities accused of being part of an international network facilitating weapons procurement for Iran.
- The US Treasury imposed sanctions on citizens of Iran and Russia, as well as entities based in Iran, Russia, and Nigeria.
- The Treasury stated the sanctions "expose Iran's use of foreign airlines, transport firms, financial channels, and travel coordinators to conceal the IRGC's role in illicit procurement."
- The sanctions follow US measures in May and June targeting individuals and companies accused of aiding Iran's weapons sector and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
