Israel votes on 27 October, with polls showing a close race between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ex-army chief Gadi Eisenkot and no bloc on track for a majority.
- The Shin Bet security service announced it removed multiple social media accounts used to attempt foreign influence on the election, in a joint operation with the Central Elections Committee.
- Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel detected attempts by Iran and its proxies to stage attacks influencing the vote, warning that an attack on Israel would lead to "burning Iran."
- Netanyahu called for prioritizing offensive action and preemptive strikes over containment, saying toppling Iran's regime is the only way to remove the Iranian threat.
- Eisenkot pledged to end Hamas rule in Gaza within 18 months, through military means if necessary.
