SaxaVord Spaceport in Shetland has announced a five-week launch window beginning 10 August for a possible rocket test flight.
- SaxaVord Spaceport said launch attempts would be permitted only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 16:00 and 20:00.
- An exclusion zone will be in place for four hours during any test, and a larger warning zone extending to Norway's Jan Mayen islands will require flight rerouting.
- Scott Hammond, chief executive of SaxaVord Spaceport, said restrictions would be introduced only if a launch attempt is scheduled, and residents would receive at least 24 hours' notice.
