Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to fully evacuate Gaza City southward if Hamas kidnaps any Israeli soldier or settler.
- Katz warned Tuesday that Israel would evict Gaza City's roughly one million residents southward, "as we did previously," if Hamas captures any soldier or settler.
- Katz said Israel possessed intelligence indicating Hamas intends to carry out new kidnapping operations against Israeli soldiers or settlers.
- Katz cautioned Hamas and its supporters, naming Iran and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, against any attempted abduction of Israeli soldiers or civilians.
- Katz stated the Israeli army will not withdraw from the "yellow line" inside Gaza until Hamas is destroyed, the strip is disarmed, and its tunnels are demolished.
