Mahrez arrives in Doha to complete Al-Shamal move

Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez has landed in Qatar to sign a short-term contract with Al-Shamal after leaving Saudi club Al-Ahli.

• Mahrez, 35, arrived in Doha on Monday ahead of joining Qatar Stars League runners-up Al-Shamal on a free transfer.
• He is due to undergo medical examinations at Aspetar hospital before signing a contract running until the end of the current season.
