The European Observatory for Combating Extremism reported that Florida's government designated the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as domestic terrorist organizations on September 29.
- The observatory said the list also added more than 90 foreign terrorist organizations previously designated by the US federal government.
- Under the decision, the observatory said, listed groups lose financial support from local and state governments and scholarships for affiliated schools.
- The observatory said documented reports link CAIR to the Muslim Brotherhood's network.
- CAIR, established in 1994, says it maintains more than 25 branches across the United States.
