Hack of AI music generator Suno reveals alleged scraping of YouTube and other platforms for training data

A hacker accessed Suno’s internal systems, exposing source code that indicates the company scraped audio from YouTube Music, Deezer, and other services.

• The hacker told 404 Media they used a supply chain attack to obtain an employee’s credentials.
• The accessed source code shows Suno allegedly scraped decades of audio from YouTube Music, Deezer, Genius, stock music libraries, and podcast RSS feeds.
• The hacker also accessed customer data including emails, phone numbers, and partial credit card numbers in Stripe.
• Suno did not notify customers about the November 2025 breach and described it as a “limited security incident that was quickly contained.”
