A bipartisan state elections commission has found that Elon Musk’s $1m cash handouts to voters before the 2025 Wisconsin supreme court election likely violated state election bribery laws.
- The Wisconsin Elections Commission voted 5-1 to send two bribery complaints against Musk to the Brown County district attorney.
- Commission spokesperson Emilee Miklas said the panel found probable cause that the payments broke state election bribery laws.
- The state attorney general had sought to block the distribution, but the state supreme court refused to hear the attempt.
