Iran's security chief Mohsen Rezaei says Washington accepted some of Tehran's seven conditions but called the reply inadequate, as Riyadh airport was hit again.
- Rezaei said the US contacted Iran over the past two months via Pakistan, Qatar and Iraq, and that Tehran conveyed seven conditions roughly two weeks ago.
- He called the US response "inadequate," saying unclear points require clarification before next stages, and that the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen without meeting the conditions.
- Rezaei said Washington accepted some of the conditions but that Iran is not yet responding, awaiting the completion of the US reply.
- One person was killed and 11 wounded in a second attack on Saudi Arabia's King Khalid International airport in Riyadh.
- Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei said Strait of Hormuz security cannot stabilize while US and Israeli attacks and the economic blockade continue.
- Baghaei dismissed US claims that Tehran lost leverage over the waterway and demanded the lifting of recently imposed US sanctions.
- The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile and drone, and Riyadh airport operations remain suspended pending damage assessment.
- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi offered to mediate between Saudi Arabia and Yemen after a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
- Baghaei said Monday that Tehran is still studying the US response and will reply to Washington through mediators once the review is complete.
- Tehran maintains its nuclear programme should be secondary to securing the waterway, a key sticking point with Washington.
- US President Donald Trump denied that Washington had agreed to Iran's seven conditions, contradicting Rezaei's claim.
