The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has published a report showing UK children's health has declined or stalled across all 12 measured indicators.
- The RCPCH report analysed 12 global indicators including infant mortality, obesity, vaccination rates, and mental health disorders.
- Only 84% of children in the UK receive two doses of the MMR vaccine by age five, below the WHO's 95% target.
- Dr. Helen Stewart, RCPCH officer for health improvement, said the UK's record on children's health "should be a national embarrassment."
- A government spokesperson said the government is expanding mental health support, opening family hubs, and ending the two-child limit to address child health.
