South African police have found the body of a tenth woman in a Johannesburg suburb, as investigators probe whether the killings are linked.
- Police found the body on Saturday morning at a cemetery in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, the tenth woman discovered in the area since mid-July.
- Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni said the victim appeared to have been stoned to death, with a post-mortem to determine cause of death.
- Mthombeni said he could not rule out a serial killer, citing "similar victimology" and a shared "modus operandi" across the deaths.
- President Cyril Ramaphosa said the discovery was "a shame on the men of South Africa that we continue to kill the women of our beautiful country."
- Two women have been charged with the ninth killing, which Mthombeni said police believe was an isolated, relationship-related case.
