WTA Finals to move to Charlotte from 2027 on three-year deal

The WTA has announced Charlotte, North Carolina, will host the season-ending WTA Finals at the Spectrum Center from 2027 through 2029.

• The WTA announced the three-year deal on Wednesday, with the tour's global headquarters relocating from St. Petersburg, Florida, to Charlotte.
• WTA chair Valerie Camillo said the tour will take operational control of the event, including revenue and expenses, rather than relying on outside promoters.
• The Finals will be shortened from eight days to five to accommodate the Charlotte Hornets' NBA schedule.
• The 2026 Finals will be held in Indian Wells, California, after the WTA ended its Riyadh hosting agreement one year early.
