Lancashire has told 44-year-old James Anderson, England's record wicket-taker, that his contract will not be renewed for 2027.
- Lancashire informed Anderson on Monday he is not in their 2027 plans, a decision made by new chief executive Richard Kenyon and incoming director of cricket Paul Farbrace.
- Anderson, 44, captained Lancashire last season, taking 50 County Championship wickets as the club finished second-bottom of Division Two.
- He holds 1,193 first-class wickets, including a record 704 for England, in a career with Lancashire dating to 2001.
