Cairo University's new oncology hospital earns gold green-hospitals rating

Cairo University's new National Cancer Institute hospital "500500" has received the gold rating for green hospitals under the Green Pyramid assessment system.

• Cairo University announced that hospital "500500" in Sheikh Zayed received the gold green-hospitals certificate and the Green Pyramid accreditation plaque.
• The certificate was presented during a symposium organized by the National Housing and Building Research Centre.
• The hospital met Green Pyramid requirements covering site sustainability, energy and water efficiency, resource conservation, indoor environmental quality, and operational management.
• University President Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadiq said the rating reflects the university's commitment to applying sustainability standards in its health facilities.
