Smotrich said Monday that Sinai will not exist if Egypt attacks Israel; Egyptian presenter Amr Adib responded by threatening Tel Aviv.
- Smotrich, in a video interview from his home Monday ahead of Israeli parliamentary elections, said "there will be no Sinai" if Egypt attacks Israel.
- Adib, responding on his show "Al-Hekaya," said there will be no Tel Aviv, no Ben Gurion airport, no Netanyahu, citing the short distance between them.
- Smotrich stated Israel controls 60–70 percent of the Gaza Strip and said, in his view, no city will be rebuilt there, which encourages emigration.
