Figma has acquired the team behind the AI agent platform Bud, which began as the vibe-coding startup Orchids.
- Figma acquired the team behind Bud, a Y Combinator-backed startup that originally launched as the vibe-coding platform Orchids before rebranding as an AI agent platform.
- Bud and Orchids will shut down on July 18, 2026, requiring users to migrate their projects by that date.
- Earlier this year, the BBC reported that apps built on the Orchids platform were susceptible to cyberattacks, citing a security researcher.
