Turkish drama "Yaprak Dökümü" returns as modern series "Haysiyet"

Kanal D has launched preparations for "Haysiyet," a contemporary adaptation of the landmark Turkish family drama.

• Kanal D held the first script reading for "Haysiyet" with lead actors Kerem Alışık, Rıha Özcan, Doğukan Güngör, and Merih Öztürk.
• The new series is being produced as a modern reinterpretation of "Yaprak Dökümü," which aired from 2006 to 2010 for 174 episodes.
• The original drama, based on Reşat Nuri Güntekin's 1930 novel, depicted the gradual disintegration of the Tekin family under social pressures.
