Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir heads to Tehran for a second visit to advance Islamabad's mediation between Iran and the United States.
- Iran's Tasnim news agency reported Munir will arrive in Tehran on Tuesday for talks with Iranian officials in his second visit since August.
- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday the proposal remains on the table, offering to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within six days if Washington accepts.
- The proposal calls for lifting the US blockade of Iranian ports, releasing frozen assets, and halting combat operations in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
- US President Donald Trump announced rejection of the proposal, stating US forces had secured navigation in the waterway.
