Hossam Ghaly: Al-Ahly's coach changes erode team identity

Former Al-Ahly board member Hossam Ghaly criticized the club's coach selection policy, saying it has stripped the team of a consistent playing identity.

• Ghaly told On Sport channel that Al-Ahly's last five coaches each employed a different playing style, which he said does not suit a club of Al-Ahly's stature.
• He said team identity must remain constant regardless of changes in players and coaches, citing Barcelona's continuity since Johan Cruyff.
• Ghaly stated the current squad can deliver better performances but that he does not see a defined playing style.
• Moroccan coach Al-Hussein Amouta has led Al-Ahly since the start of the season, winning three of four matches and drawing one.
