Egypt’s Justice Minister Opens Specialized Children’s Court in East Alexandria

Egypt’s Minister of Justice inaugurated a children’s court in East Alexandria, as part of efforts to modernize the specialized judiciary and protect children's rights.

• Justice Minister Mahmoud al-Sharif opened the court at the East Alexandria Courthouse on Wednesday, joined by Alexandria Governor Ayman Attia and a UN delegation.
• Al-Sharif and Attia toured the court’s facilities, which are designed to account for children’s psychological and social needs.
• Minister al-Sharif said the opening is part of a plan to upgrade infrastructure and ensure rapid adjudication while preserving children’s rights.
• Governor Attia stated the court will provide specialized judicial services aligned with modern standards and reflects state commitment to child protection.
