Anthropic and Blackstone launch Ode, a $1.5B AI implementation joint venture

Anthropic and private equity firms have formed Ode, an AI services company focused on deploying artificial intelligence into enterprise operations.

• Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs launched Ode in May with $1.5 billion in funding.
• Ode acquired AI engineering startup Fractional AI shortly after the joint venture was announced.
• Chris Taylor, CEO of Ode and Fractional co-founder, said the company could become a trillion-dollar business if execution succeeds.
• Ode will operate on a "Claude-first" principle but will use rival AI products when necessary.
