Jannik Sinner has withdrawn from next week's Shanghai Masters, extending a layoff that has kept him off court since winning Wimbledon in July.
- Sinner announced Saturday on Instagram he will not play the Rolex Shanghai Masters, which runs Wednesday to October 18.
- The Italian has not competed since beating Alexander Zverev in the Wimbledon final, missing the US Open and the Beijing ATP 500 event.
- Sinner said last week he would not defend his China Open title in Beijing, saying his knee was not where he would like it to be.
