Saudi Civil Defense Issues Early Warnings, Lifts Danger Alerts Across Regions

Saudi Civil Defense has activated early warnings through the national emergency platform and declared the danger over in several governorates and cities.

• Saudi Civil Defense issued early warnings through the national platform in Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, Al-Ula, and Khamis Mushait.
• It announced the danger had passed in Khamis Mushait, and separately in Jeddah, Taif, Al-Ula, and Yanbu.
• It declared the danger had passed in Farasan governorate in the Jazan region after an earlier alert was issued.
• Saudi Civil Defense announced the all-clear had passed in ten regions on Saturday, including Riyadh and Abha.
• Saudi Civil Defense issued its first-ever air-threat warnings for Riyadh and Al-Kharj after two explosions were heard in the capital's Al-Olaya district.
• Riyadh accused Iran-backed Houthi militants of targeting Mecca, a charge the group denied.
