Zamalek denies reports new sporting director sought head coach Gamal's removal

Zamalek media director Maher Ghareeb confirmed the club is finalizing Hossam El-Zanaty's appointment as sporting director and denied he sought to remove coach Mo'tamed Gamal.

• Ghareeb said the club awaits final procedural details before drafting El-Zanaty's contract and announcing his appointment as sporting director.
• Ghareeb denied reports that El-Zanaty requested Gamal's removal as head coach, calling the claims baseless.
• He asserted the club would retain Gamal if forced to choose, as president Hussein Labib insisted on his continuation.
• Ghareeb said hiring a foreign assistant coach would require Gamal's approval.
