Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler named 18-year-old Younes Ibrahim in the first-team squad for the first time, for Sunday's 5-0 Premier League win over Coventry City.
- Ibrahim, who holds Egyptian, English, Moroccan and Australian nationalities, sat on the substitutes' bench in the round-four fixture at Coventry.
- He has recorded one goal and one assist in three appearances for Brighton's under-21 side this season, including against Arsenal.
- Egypt's 2007 team coach Wael Riad has contacted Ibrahim about joining his squad, and local reports say he is a target of the senior team under Hossam Hassan.
- Brighton academy director Ian Buckman said Ibrahim's first professional contract recognises the hard work he put in during his academy spell.
