The CAF executive committee, chaired by Patrice Motsepe, has approved sweeping changes to African club competition regulations and a schedule running through 2030.
- CAF has approved allowing players to register and play for more than one club within a single season of African club competitions.
- Clubs may now register up to 40 players at any time during the season and replace four during the final registration window.
- All disciplinary matters will now be referred directly to CAF's Disciplinary Committee, removing the Club Competitions Committee from that role.
- The committee set the 2026 CAF Awards for Lagos, Nigeria on December 7 and scheduled the 2026–2030 competition calendar.
